反恐特勤隊是一款節奏快速的射擊遊戲，玩法和著名的絕對武力相似，但是在根本設計上卻有著微妙的差異，使得它在許多忠實玩家心中獨樹一格。
反恐特勤隊在 1999 年啟動開發並且最初是浴血戰場這款遊戲的免費模組、2002 年正式販售、2003 年官方釋出最後一次更新版本 3.4.0、2004 年官方授權社群團隊繼續開發、2005 年社群團隊釋出最後一次更新版本 3.5.0。
反恐特勤隊是我接觸的第一款射擊遊戲，那個時候我還只是個小學生。對我而言，反恐特勤隊具有某種程度的特殊意義，它不僅讓我成為射擊遊戲愛好者，或多或少也啟發了我對於電腦以及撰寫程式的熱愛，是我的成長記憶中不可抹滅的一部分。但是現在，由於電腦硬體和作業系統的進步，相容性問題已經成為這款年邁遊戲的頭號敵人。對此，反恐特勤隊特別版計劃於焉誕生，任務是希望這個「老朋友」可以繼續存在，直到未來的電腦再也無法相容它為止。

Welcome to the homepage of the Tactical Ops Special Edition Project.
Tactical Ops is a fast-paced first-person shooter (FPS) game with a similar gameplay to the famous competitor Counter Strike. Several intriguing key differences in the fundamental game design are the reasons that make it unique in the minds of its loyal fans.
The development of Tactical Ops was started in 1999 and it was initially available as a free game modification of Unreal Tournament. In 2002, it was released as a retail game. In 2003, the last official version was released as 3.4.0. In 2004, community acquired the permission to continue the development. In 2005, the last community version was released as 3.5.0.
Tactical Ops was the first FPS game that I played and at that time I was still an elementary school student. Personally, Tactical Ops has some kind of special meanings in my life. I became an FPS game enthusiast just because of it. It more or less inspired my passion in computer science and programming. It has also been a part of my memory since my chindhood. But now, as computer hardware and operating system continue to evolve rapidly, compatibility issues pose a serious threat to this aging game. The Tactical Ops Special Edition Project was then created by me with a sole mission to help this old "friend" stay alive until it is no longer supported by anything in the future.
